Mid-September update!

Just wanted to send a quick message mid-month because this month is so busy and we have so much to share. Here’s what’s up with Friends of Allie:
- Team Update - We have 716 registered walkers!!! (121 registered in 2 weeks) Have raised $54,834!!!!!! ($19,552 in two weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
- New Walker Incentive - 850th registered FOA or FOA affliliate walker receives $50 Best Buy gift card, courtesy of Caroline Neal. (Thanks Caroline!)
- Blinkies & Banner Ads Available - We’ve added some blinkies and banners ads that you can use on your blogs, signatures, and websites. Send them to friends and family with sites and ask them to post them too. - Chance to Win a TeePee - For every dollar, you donate to the FOA team active.com account, you’ll receive a chance to win a fun teepee from TeePee for Me. Go to http://www.active.com/donate/ltnWestmo/2006FriendofAllie for more information and to donate to win.
- Is Your Banner the Best? Is Your Baby Stroller Beautiful? - Friends of Allie will be holding a contest for the best team banner and most beautifully decorated baby stroller. Take lots of photos and the team will have a chance to vote for the best ones at the end of the season. Send photos for the contest to lois@friendsofallie.org.
- Join FOA on Gather.com - Come join the FOA gang on Gather.com at http://friendsofallie.gather.com/groupInvite.jsp?ref=grp_friendsofallie. Share stories, comments and photos.
- Walker Recruitment Tips - The team leaders brainstormed to come up with 25 tips to help recruit walkers. Visit the FOA Blog at http://friendsofallieblog.blogspot.com/2006/09/ideas-for-recruiting-walkers.html to see what we came up with and make comments on what ideas have worked for you.
- Share your walker reflections, photos, and team totals - After your walks, e-mail teamleaders@friendsofallie.org with your reflections, photos and team total to be shared with the team.
- What is your team up to? - How did your Awareness Day go? Has your team held any fundraisers? We want to know! We’d love to hear your team tidbits for the October newsletter! E-mail any information you’d like to share to Beth at beth@friendsofallie.org! Inquiring minds want to know!
